1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the Site or newsletter, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. Current status (non-commercial)

ReadIntersections is currently a personal, non-commercial publication. No paid tiers, ads, or affiliate links at this time.

3. Accounts and emails

Most content is available without an account. If you subscribe, you agree to keep your information accurate and your login secure. Every email includes a working unsubscribe link. You must be at least 13 years old to subscribe.

4. Intellectual property

The Site and original content are owned by GAKSH LLC or its licensors and protected by law. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and read for personal use. No commercial use without prior written permission.

“ReadIntersections,” “Intersections,” and related marks are trademarks of GAKSH LLC.

5. Submissions and contributions

If you send pitches, drafts, comments, or other material (“Submissions”):

  • You confirm you own the rights or have permission to share them.
  • You will not include confidential information or third-party personal data you are not authorized to share.
  • You grant GAKSH LLC a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, edit for clarity, and publish your Submissions on the Site, in emails, and on official social channels, with credit to you.
  • We may moderate, edit, or remove Submissions at our discretion.

AI-narrated audio: You agree we may create and distribute AI-narrated audio versions of your article that do not imitate your natural voice, with attribution such as: “Written by [Your Name] for ReadIntersections; narrated by an AI voice.”

6. Acceptable use

Do not break the law; infringe IP; defame; harass; post unlawful, harmful, or invasive content; attempt to hack or disrupt the Site; scrape at scale; use bots to harvest emails; impersonate others; or transmit malware. We may suspend or block access for violations.

7. Third-party links and services

The Site may link to third-party websites or services. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

8. No professional advice

Content is for general information only. It is not legal, financial, medical, immigration, investment, or other professional advice. Use at your own risk.

9. Disclaimers

The Site and newsletter are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Email delivery or uptime is not guaranteed.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GAKSH LLC and its authors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from or related to your use of the Site or newsletter. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed US $100.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold GAKSH LLC harmless from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your Submissions or your violation of these Terms.

12. Copyright/DMCA

To report copyright concerns, email editor@readintersections.com with: your contact details; identification of the copyrighted work; the URL of the material; a good-faith statement; and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are the owner or authorized agent.

We may remove content and, if appropriate, terminate repeat infringers’ access. If DMCA claims become frequent, we may register a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office and update this section with public agent details.

13. No publicity

You may not use our name, logos, or marks (including “ReadIntersections” and “Intersections”) in marketing, case studies, or publicity without prior written consent.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site or newsletter at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violations of these Terms.

15. Future paid features

If paid memberships, sponsorships, or other commercial features are introduced, these Terms and the Privacy Policy will be updated and posted with a new effective date. Paid features will include additional terms on payments, renewals, refunds, taxes, and sponsorship disclosures.

16. Electronic communications

You consent to receive communications electronically (emails and on-site notices) at the addresses you provide.

17. Assignment

You may not assign these Terms without prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

18. Severability; waiver; entire agreement

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent needed; the remainder stays in effect. No waiver is effective unless written. These Terms are the entire agreement regarding the Site and supersede prior or contemporaneous communications on this subject.

19. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. State and federal courts in Texas have exclusive jurisdiction and venue.

20. Changes

Material changes to these Terms will be posted on the Site with an updated effective date.
